Until someone creates one, the study can't attach to the patient's record, which creates a blind spot for staff without access to the archive. That forces a technologist or film librarian to hand-key a retroactive order for every outside study, one at a time.

When an external study is received by ImageX, Medicom automatically builds an HL7 v2 message from the study's DICOM metadata and sends it to your EHR or RIS.
